FREE BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE

The price of your SWISS ticket includes the costs for the transport of a certain amount of baggage. The free baggage allowance depends on the class and destination booked.

If the baggage you checked in exceeds the weights and dimensions indicated in the table below, we will charge an excess baggage fee. For handling reasons, the check-in accepts no heavy baggage.

The maximum weight per item of baggage checked in at a check-in desk is 32 kg.

Heavy baggage can either be sent as freight (Swiss WorldCargo) or distributed on several pieces of baggage. In case you need to repack your baggage at the airport, we will provide free cardboard boxes or plastic bags.

Members of Miles & More Senator and Frequent Traveller enjoy a more generous free baggage allowance. Please ask SWISS for details.

Please note
Fragile, valuable and perishable items should not be checked in. Carry medical documents, pharmaceuticals, keys and commercial samples in your hand baggage. For information on dangerous objects, please check here.
