Flying to Beijing: tips and information for your trip

The 3000-year-old city of Beijing has 4 UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The Summer Palace consists of beautifully landscaped gardens with pavilions and temples. Emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties prayed for a good harvest at another UNESCO site, the Temple of Heaven, and 13 imperial tombs from the same period can be seen on the edge of the city.

The fourth UNESCO site is the Great Wall of China, parts of which can be seen in Beijing. To view the most famous parts of the wall, take the 1 hour train trip to Chángchéng. Don’t miss the chance to see Beijing’s modern architectural landmarks too, including the famous ‘bird’s nest’ stadium.
