What happens after your flight to Seoul
Your Seoul flight will take you to Incheon Airport (ICN), the largest airport in South Korea. It is located about 50 kilometers west of Seoul on the Yeongjondo Peninsula. Upon arrival, you will have the choice of bus, train, taxi and rental car. The Airport Railroad Express (AREX) offers a direct connection to Seoul, the journey takes about three quarters of an hour. The bus will take you to various places in Seoul, the journey takes between 60 and 90 minutes, depending on your destination. You should expect a similar journey time if you take a taxi or rental car.
In Seoul itself, you can easily get around by bus or subway. The route network is very well developed and the frequency is tight. Of course, a taxi is also an option at any time.

- Currency: In Korea, and thus also in Seoul, payment is made with the Korean Won (KRW). In smaller shops and also in rural areas, cash payment is common. In most cases, however, you will be able to pay cashless with your credit card in Seoul.
- Time Difference: If you're flying to Seoul, you'll need to set your watch forward by eight hours in winter time, but only by seven hours in summer time.
- Understanding: The official language is Korean, but Japanese, Mandarin and English are also spoken by many, especially in tourist places. In addition, you will find signs in English at many hotels, cafés and restaurants.
