Fuji Kawaguchiko Onsen Hotel – Konansou, Japan

Last March, Fiona took two weeks to explore Japan and discovered a true wellness highlight. In Fujikawaguchiko, at the foot of the majestic Mount Fuji, pure relaxation awaits. Leaving the office behind has never been easier - whether at a morning footbath spa (Ashiyu) on the rooftop terrace with views of the freshly snow-covered peak, or at the hotel’s own Rotenburo with an outdoor bath after a traditional dinner. Even for those who aren’t usually wellness fans, the experience is worthwhile. A special souvenir for home is the personal Yukata, which perfectly rounds off the stay. Fiona stayed at the Fuji Kawaguchiko Onsen Hotel Konansou, conveniently reachable by train in about 3.5 hours from Narita Airport.

Vabali Spa – Hamburg, Germany

For those seeking relaxation in Hamburg, the Vabali Spa is a must-visit, Catherine recommends it as her favorite wellness oasis. The day can begin with a hearty brunch before exploring the numerous warm and cold pools, natural basins, and saunas. Catherine particularly enjoys that there is virtually no mobile network across the grounds, ideal for a digital detox and a true break from everyday life.

Arctic Bath – Harads, Sweden

The Arctic Bath in Harads, near Luleå in northern Sweden, is one of Adele’s ultimate wellness experiences. The circular spa floats on the river in summer and is surrounded by ice in winter, offering a nature-based, extraordinary oasis of relaxation. Guests can unwind in several saunas, heated outdoor pools, or the cold river bath to recharge. Whether under the midnight sun or the dancing northern lights, the Arctic Bath provides peace, restoration, and an unforgettable wellness experience for anyone looking to escape daily life.

Al Maha Desert Resort & Spa – Dubai, United Arab Emirates

For Tuuli, the Al Maha Desert Resort & Spa in Dubai is the ultimate escape. Nestled in the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve, it feels like stepping into another world. In a villa with a private pool, you can float under the endless sky, surrounded only by gentle dunes. The spa itself is a haven of calm, luxurious and immersed in nature – the “Al Maha Body Journey” comes highly recommended. One of Tuuli’s most memorable experiences was a semi-private camel trek at sunset, when the golden desert is bathed in the last light of the day. Each visit leaves her feeling completely refreshed and recharged.

QC Spa – New York, USA

Yan recommends the QC Spa New York on Governors Island as the perfect city escape. From the outdoor pools and relaxation areas, visitors enjoy an impressive view of the Manhattan skyline. In addition to the pools, there are various saunas and steam rooms, ideal for rejuvenating body and mind after a day in the city. Easily accessible by ferry from the Battery Maritime Building, the spa offers a calm, restorative retreat away from the hustle and bustle of Manhattan.
